Mi Familia

My family means the world to me, even though we all are wrapped up in our own lives we still are in each others hearts. My dad is about 60 years old and is puerto rican. He was raised in hells kitchen new york. He has had a pretty rough life, seeing murders, dealing with not having a mother around and only living with his father who worked full time. My father has been working full time since he was 12 years old and married a women at the age of 18. After being with her for a very short time he had a baby girl ( my half sister whom I have never met). Things did not work out so he got a divorce and moved to fl :) My mother lived a much happier life, she had one brother and one sister. Her Parents were 100 percent German and passed down the language to my mother. My mother was very independent and was able to cook and clean at a very young age. She was trusted and lived a great life. Both my parents got jobs at a jewelry store in the mall and that is how they met and fell in love :) My dad was 10 years older then my mom and was a huge player and had tons of girlfriends. When he met my mom that was it for him and they eventually got married! Shortly after came me and then 4 years later came my sister! We had a wonderful childhood and were very spoiled. My sister is my best friend in the entire world I love her so much. Its funny how different we are from each other. I am very outgoing and friendly. My sister is an introvert and does not have a lot of friends. She got mixed up with a bad crowd in high school and ended up fighting, drinking, staying out all night ect... During this time she had been dating the same guy and later on became pregnant. My parents were so depressed because she could not finish high school and she was only 18 years old. On September 20th 2009 Serenity Grace was brought into the world and it was the best day of all of our lives. That baby has changed her so much for the better, she is very close with my family now, she never goes out drinking and she is the best mom in the entire world. I also have a brother, he is not blood related but close enough. I met him in high school and we became so very close, we spent every day with each other and could not be separated! He knows more about me then anyone in the entire world. Not only was he there for me, but I was there for him as well. He was dealing with the fact that he was gay and no one knew about it. His parents are VERY christian and would dis own him if they found out. My family loved him so much that my dad moved him in the extra room we had in the garage and gave him a job! That time away from home changed him and he met a wonderful boyfriend and came out of the closet to everyone except his family. My brother is a big part of our family and is the glue that holds us together. What brings my family together is laughter and food. No matter how busy we all are we always connect through our jokes and the matter of food!. I love my family very much and would never be where I am today with out them!

Costa Rica!!

What an adventure I had in costa rica!! I got chosen to host a t.v. show finding the most beautiful latina in the world! Each month I get to go to a new country and each winner from each country gets to attend the finals in vegas. I was a little nervous at first because I knew no one and the girl I was rooming with was nothing like me at all. We spoke over the phone and she said ''I like to read and I don't really like people too much'' Shoot me!! But she turned out to be amazing and we became the best of friends! She is also filming for another show called buzzed on paradise. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the smell...awww the smell of the jungle :) I got to stay in the finest resorts and eat the most unique foods. We got to attempt to feed the crocks, go zip lining and also fly in a helicopter. I did a couple photo shoots and filmed near the end of the trip. I would say the best part of my trip was the wonderful people I got to experience the adventure with. Mark, Luanna, Myste, Roy, Bob, Marcel and David! What a great bunch of people. We will all be going to Peru the end of February. What was amazing about this experience was I FINALLY know what I want to do with my life. I have been stressing out about what would make me happy in life and I couldn't think of anything. Well its about time I found my nitch. I will also be the host of another t.v. show but that will come later! Right now I will work hard with what I have been blessed with and then take the next big step! I have so many people supporting me right now, and it makes me so happy. I am so blessed to have parents who are helping me with my dream and not shutting me out. I would have to say so far this is the happiest I have ever been in my life and if things could get better I would have to feel as if I was dreaming. The start of 2010!

I have had such an interesting year in 2009. Everyone goes through certain phases, I would say during 2009 I went through mine. Just because you make mistakes does not mean you are that way, or you are a bad person. As long as learn from those situations I think you will be on your way to bigger and better things. I remember when the things that mattered so much to me was...looks over personality..hanging out with my friends over my family....drinking alcohol over living a healthy life style. Well its funny how things change in life and those things that mattered so much to you don't matter at all. I will have to say this year I want things to progress. I have been offered a wonderful opportunity to host my own tv show for the travel channel. That is the most important thing in my life right now. I want to succeed from this point on. I will put all of my time and energy into this project and I hope that all the hard work pays off because this is something I would like to do for the rest of my life. As far as my love life goes I have been on and off with the same guy since high school, we have seen other people and for some reason we always end up back in each others arms. I do care about him and hope that at this point we are mature enough to get through things and support each other through our endeavors. He is going through a tough time right now and starting jan 10th I will be in Costa Rica filming my show. It is going to be hard but I hope we can both support one another and understand what we are doing right now is to better both of our lives for the future. I have a wonderful support system and a drive to do whatever it takes to succeed in life!
